Denver, Colorado: Accessible Adventures
Denver, Colorado, known as the Mile High City, is a city that has so much to offer to anyone, including people with disabilities. I’ve traveled to Denver numerous times on business and had the opportunity to experience how easy it was to access just about anything I wanted to do!
You may not think Denver would be a very diverse city, but in fact, almost half of its population is Hispanic, Native American, and more. The weather in Denver is almost perfect with an average of 245 days of sunshine each year with an average temperature of 64 degrees F. And, it’s also a very accessible city.
Accessible options for all
You have options for accessible taxis such as Metro Cab and Yellow Cab Mobility Plus, accessible hotels, and plenty of accessible venues and attractions. Over the years, I’ve had so many memorable experiences in Denver. From crazy weather – waking up to 8” of snow and by the afternoon it was 70 degrees (common for Denver), to meetings on the turf at Empire Field at Mile High, to meeting Dave Matthews and his band in the lobby of my hotel – and so much more.
