At Montréal-Trudeau Airport (YUL), we are committed to ensuring a seamless travel experience for all passengers, including those with disabilities. We offer a range of services and facilities to accommodate different types of disabilities. The best part? All the services described below are provided without any conditions or fees.

Drop-off Assistance

For passengers needing assistance between the drop-off area and the check-in counter (departures level) or between the public area and the pick-up area (arrivals area), we offer convenient assistance options:

  • Wheelchair
  • Electric cart
  • On-foot assistance
  • Assistance with carrying baggage

Assistance during Departure – Booking and Procedure

To book the assistance you need, simply follow these steps:

  1. Fill out the online reservation form or call 514-420-5030.
  2. Upon arrival at the airport, go to the designated meeting point indicated at the time of your reservation.
  3. Marriott or HotelParc guests can proceed to door 11 in the terminal.
  4. If you do not have access to a phone, visit the reception desk at door 4.
  5. Report your presence and provide the information requested by the agent.
  6. Wait for the attendant to pick you up. You may enter the terminal and wait near the identified sign. Please inform the agent when you call.

Assistance upon Arrival – Booking and Procedure

For assistance upon arrival, follow these steps:

  1. Book the assistance you need by filling out the online reservation form or calling 514-420-5030.
  2. Upon arrival, inform your airline that you have reserved the airport’s assistance service.
  3. Call the help desk at the number indicated on the sign.
  4. Report your presence and provide the requested information.
  5. Wait for the attendant to pick you up; there is a designated waiting area for this purpose.

Facilities and Services for People with Reduced Mobility

At YUL, we provide various facilities and services to facilitate movement inside the terminal for people with reduced mobility:

  • Access ramps, elevators, and moving sidewalks
  • Self-service wheelchairs available at multiple locations within the terminal
  • Accessible information counters, check-in counters, self-service check-in kiosks, public pay phones, and ATMs
  • Doorless entrances and adapted toilet stalls in all restrooms
  • Hygiene rooms with specialized lifting equipment
  • Single-occupant unisex washrooms with hands-free faucets in international and transborder jetties
  • Wheelchair-accessible drinking water fountains
  • Reduced use of carpeting in the terminal for easier wheelchair movement
  • Reserved seating in boarding lounges
  • Passenger transfer vehicles for aircraft parked far from the terminal

Services and Facilities for Persons with Visual Impairment

We offer various services and facilities to assist passengers with visual impairment:

  • Large and brightly colored signs
  • Braille signs at restroom entrances
  • Braille signage on elevators, escalators, and moving sidewalks
  • Audible synthesized voice “floor callers” in elevators
  • Availability of airport staff to assist blind passengers

Services and Facilities for Persons with Hearing Impairment

For passengers with hearing impairment, we provide the following services:

  • TTY telephones available at every area of public pay phones in the terminal and boarding areas
  • Public pay phones with adjustable volume control and flux coils for hearing-aid users
  • Visual fire alarms (strobes) in public areas
  • Directory assistance listings for TTY users (call 7-1-1) and TTY-specific support (call 1-800-855-1155)

Facilities for Persons Using Service Dogs

Service dogs are welcome at YUL, and we have designated pet relief areas with Braille signage at multiple locations:

  • Public area: Multi-Level parking lot in front of the terminal building (across gate 25 on the Arrivals level)
  • Domestic area: In front of boarding gate 47
  • International area: In front of the restrooms near boarding gate 62
  • Trans border area: In front of the restrooms near boarding gate 73
