Hi everyone, I’m Johnny Agar. Born with cerebral palsy, my physical limitations were evident, but so was my resolve to transcend them. Together, my dad and I form Team Agar, proving that love and determination can redefine the possible.
From Dreams to Reality
Our adventure is far from ordinary. In each race, my dad embodies the essence of strength and dedication. He’s not just participating; he’s my arms, my legs, and most importantly, my heart in every challenge we face. Our bond, tested and strengthened through over 200 races, speaks volumes of what we can achieve together.
The Call Back to Kona
Now, we’re embarking on a poignant chapter of our journey: returning to the Ironman World Championship in Kona, Hawaii. Our previous attempt in 2016 was tough, but it taught us invaluable lessons about resilience and the power of perseverance. Life’s giving us a second chance this October, and we’re more ready than ever.

Our Triumphs and Trials
The road to becoming Ironmen was laden with trials. It took us six attempts to finally cross the finish line of a full-distance Ironman in Maryland, 2022. That moment was a culmination of every drop of effort, belief, and support we’ve received and given. It was a victory not just for us, but for every heart that dared to dream alongside us.

As we prepare for Kona, this race is more than just about finishing; it’s about sending a message of hope and endless possibility.
