Onboard Experience and Accessibility

The Celebrity Edge boasts modern luxury, from the Magic Carpet and Eden to the Rooftop Garden. The ship offers accessible staterooms and amenities, including wider doors, roll-in showers, and grab bars, ensuring a comfortable experience for guests with mobility needs.

Celebrity Cruises offers boarding and departure assistance to people with mobility disabilities. Request assistance once you arrive at the pier or contact us prior to your cruise so that we may prioritize your needs during boarding. During peak times there may be a wait for assistance.

Many, while not all, of our ports of call provide easy access for wheelchairs, however due to various conditions such as the steepness of the gangway, tendering, weather, tidal and sea conditions, and shore-side facilities, guests using assistive devices may be precluded from getting on or off the ship. We will make reasonable efforts to assist all of our guests, but for safety reasons, our staff is not permitted to lift guests or equipment. Assistance with manual wheelchairs, walkers and canes can be provided at no additional charge.

Accessibility in Ports of Call

Sydney serves as a model of accessibility, with initiatives like the NSW Companion Card program and extensive accessible public transport options. The city offers numerous accessible attractions, including the Sydney Opera House, Darling Harbour, and various museums and galleries, all equipped with facilities for guests with disabilities. Outside of Sydney, attractions such as the Royal National Park and Davidson Park picnic area provide accessible natural escapes.
